Sign in with Auth0
The Auth0 OAuth2 Login for Odoo module enables seamless and secure user authentication in Odoo using Auth0 credentials. By leveraging Auth0's OAuth2 protocol, users can log in through a trusted third-party identity provider, eliminating the need for local passwords and enhancing security. Upon authentication, users are either logged into an existing Odoo account or automatically registered using their profile information, such as name and email. This integration is ideal for businesses and platforms utilizing Auth0 for centralized identity management, providing a streamlined Single Sign-On (SSO) experience and supporting token-based authentication flows within Odoo.
Go to https://auth0.com/ Sign up for a new account if you don't have one, or log in if you already do.
Once logged in, navigate to the Dashboard .
In the left-hand sidebar, click on Applications , then click on Applications again from the dropdown.
Click the Create Application button.
Choose the application type (e.g., Regular Web Applications ) and provide a name for your application.
Click on Create to proceed.
After creating your application, go to the Settings tab.
In the Application URIs section, enter the Allowed Callback URLs . This is the URL to which Auth0 will redirect after successful authentication.
Enter the Allowed Logout URLs
You can also add Allowed Web Origins if needed (e.g., for frontend integrations).
In the Basic Information section, you will find the Client ID , Client Secret , and Domain . Copy these values - they are required to integrate Auth0 with Odoo.
To set up the Sign in with Auth0 in Odoo, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings . Ensure that Developer Mode is enabled.
- Go to Users & Companies and click on OAuth Providers .
- Add or configure the Sign in with Auth0 OAuth Provider as needed for your setup.
Click on the Sign in with Auth0
Enter your Auth0 credentials (Client ID, Secret Key, Domain) and mark allowed true, Save the changes in Record.
On the login page, you will see a Login with Auth0 button. Click this button to login without entering a username or password.
Upon successful authentication, New User will be created for the first time login and later users can log in with Auth0
