Introduction

The POS Multi Session Order Synchronization module empowers Odoo’s Point of Sale to operate more collaboratively across devices and terminals. With this extension, users can send, receive, and synchronize POS orders across multiple active sessions. In contexts like restaurants, multi-terminal retail stores, or multi-device kiosks, this module ensures that orders, products, discounts, and customer data stay consistent and transparent across all POS sessions. It reduces manual reconciliation, prevents order conflicts, and enhances operational coordination.

Key Features

• Installation steps:

  1. Place this module in your Odoo addons directory

  2. Update the apps list in the Odoo interface

  3. Install POS Multi Session Order Synchronization

• Configuration: enable “Is Sender” and/or “Is Receiver” flags in POS settings for each session

• Workflow:
   • A user in a sender session creates an order and clicks “Send Order”
   • A popup allows selection of one or more receiver sessions
   • In a receiver session, “Receive Order” shows available synchronized orders
   • The receiver clicks “Deliver” to import the order into that session’s cart
   • The order details—products, discounts, customer, prices—are synchronized and loaded
   • Status, logs, and reconciliations are tracked in backend views
