Introduction
This module extends your POS capabilities by allowing partial redemption of gift cards at the point of sale. Instead of requiring a full balance utilization, customers can redeem a portion of their gift card value and keep the rest for future use. After each redemption, the system automatically updates the remaining balance and prevents over-use. The gift card’s details and balance are visible in the POS interface, offering a seamless and user-friendly experience. This enhances flexibility for both customers and merchants, while preserving accurate gift card accounting and reducing friction at checkout.

Installation steps:
1. Place the module into your Odoo addons directory
2. Restart the server and update the apps list
3. Install “POS Gift Card Partial Redemption” via the Apps menu
4. Use a POS session, enter the gift card code, and specify the amount to redeem
5. Confirm redemption and observe the updated remaining balance
6. Validate that the redemption is properly recorded and enforced

1.Create gift code
To create gift Code follow the step of base,
go to POSâ Productâ gift cards & eWallets
Fill required details and click on Generate Gift Cards,
You can see all generated gift cards in the right above

3.Before Redeem
Now open any gift card, you can see in the image that the total balance of this gift card is 20 now.
4.POS (Point Of Sale)
Now open the POSsession, as you can see in the image that the total
amount of order is $ 85 before applying gift code, now click on
Enter code to enter gift code..

5. Redeem Amount
After entering the code, a pop-up window will appear with code details; here you may select how many points/amount you wish to redeem; after entering the amount, click the redeem button.
6.Gift Cards
You can see that the Gift card has been
added and the total amount has been reduced from $85 to $80
after applying the gift code.
7.Payment Screen
Here customer will pay only $ 80 after using gift card
8.Balance After Redeem
After redeeming $5, the remaining balance has now been updated to $15. This provides a clear indication of the remaining amount on the gift card.
9. Redeem Greater Amount
That's an important point to consider. When users try to redeem an amount greater than the available balance on their gift card, it should indeed trigger an error message to notify them of the insufficient balance. This ensures that users are aware of the limit and can adjust their redemption amount accordingly.
