Introduction

The Markup Pricelist Range module for Odoo enhances standard pricelist functionality by allowing businesses to define markup or discount percentages over specified quantity ranges. Instead of applying a uniform margin or discount across the board, you can configure pricing tiers—e.g. 0–10 units: +10 %, 11–50 units: +8 %, 51+ units: +5 %—that adapt dynamically as order quantities change. This empowers more precise margin control, supports bulk sales strategies, and aligns pricing with market expectations more flexibly.

Key Features

  • Define markup (positive) or discount (negative) percentages for custom quantity ranges

  • Apply range-based rules per product, product category, or entire pricelist

  • Integrate seamlessly with Odoo’s pricelist engine (discounts, formulas, fixed price)

  • Automatically select the correct markup tier based on line quantity

  • Support override behavior for specific products or categories

Benefits

  • Enables granular pricing strategies that reward volume purchases

  • Protects margins by adjusting markups dynamically by order size

  • Simplifies promotions and volume discounts using structured rules

  • Improves competitiveness with pricing flexibility without custom coding

  • Maintains consistency with Odoo’s native pricelist workflows

Markup Pricelist Range

This module "Markup Pricelist Range" enhances the standard pricelist rules by introducing a formula-based pricing option. When the user selects "Based on Cost Price", additional fields such as Minimum Cost, Maximum Cost, and Markup Percentage dynamically appear. These fields allow precise control over product pricing based on cost, enabling businesses to apply flexible and automated pricing strategies.

This feature helps businesses set flexible pricing based on cost by adjusting markup, rounding, and extra fees—enabling smarter, cost-driven pricing strategies.
