Introduction

The Export Partner Ledger with Unfolded Entries module for Odoo addresses a common limitation in default accounting reports: the inability to selectively print only specific entries from the partner ledger. With this extension, users can unfold (expand) desired entries in the ledger view and then export only those expanded entries to PDF or XLSX. This results in cleaner, tailored reports without overwhelming detail, improving clarity and document relevance.

  • Installation Steps:

    1. Ensure that the core modules (account, account_accountant, mail) are installed.

    2. Install the account_print_unfold_record module in your system.

    3. Navigate to Accounting → Reporting → Partner Ledger.

    4. Expand (unfold) the ledger lines you wish to include in your report.

    5. Choose “Print PDF” or “Export XLSX”—only the unfolded entries will appear in the exported document.

Export Partner Ledger Report

Partner ledger is one of the most important features of accounting to show journal entries of payable and receivable accounts of partners. Odoo itself provides a partner ledger report under the reporting section.

The issue with default reporting is that it prints all entries when we print it as a PDF or xlsx, but sometimes we do not need to print the entire entry. To deal with this situation, Techultra developed a Partner ledger report printing app that allows you to print only the data you need.

1. Partner ledger report entries.

After installing the app go to accounting → reporting → partner ledger

Here you can see all entries of partners.

2. Print Partner ledger report in PDF

Now unfold the documents you want to print, and then click PDF. The unfolded records will export in PDF as soon as you click on that option.

3. Print Partner ledger report in xlsx

After unfolding the record click on xlsx. As soon as you select that option, the unfolded records will export in xlsx.

Can we unfold all data at once?

Yes, in Partner ledger go to, option: Posted entries only → now click on unfold all

Is there any limitation to print records?

Yes, you can only print unfolded records.
